Antique Bohemian Porcelain Floral Ewer Vase

$65.00

A delicate relic of the late Victorian parlour, this antique Austrian-Bohemian porcelain ewer vase carries the soft romanticism characteristic of turn-of-the-century decorative wares. Its elegant elongated form rises into a flared asymmetric spout, framed by a finely moulded neck and a looping gilt-highlighted handle. Across the body, hand-painted violet blossoms trail delicately over a warm ivory ground, lending the piece a quiet, almost dreamlike quality.

Likely produced in the Austro-Bohemian ceramic regions around 1890–1910, the vase reflects the flourishing decorative porcelain trade associated with the Turn-Teplitz workshops of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Though unmarked aside from impressed mould numbers to the base, the piece carries all the charm of continental cabinet porcelain from the period: ornamental, intimate in scale, and designed to bring beauty into the domestic interior.

Beautiful displayed alone on a shelf or mantel, or grouped amongst antique books, silver, and other faded floral wares. A striking decorative object with a gentle age-worn elegance.

  • Circa: 1890–1910

  • Origin: Austria / Bohemia

  • Condition: Excellent.

  • Dimensions: 19.5 × 11 × 11cm.
